ARTIST CARD SELECTION OBTAINED AT THE EVENT
PART TWO
(Visit the previous page for the extensive PART ONE section)
There was a large artist stand area at this event and although not all of them had cards available there were a nice selection to choose from.
ARTIST: PATRICK WARREN

‘THE GETAWAY MAN’

ARTIST: JOSH FILHOL

FULL POSTCARD REVERSE

Now, I am guessing here because the female depicted here is not named on the card (I bought it because I like the image and I have a feeling, hopefully correct, that I might know who this is…but I will look foolish if I’m wrong). I think this looks like Patricia Arquette, although the wavy hair worries me a bit, but if it is Arquette, she starred in the television series ‘Medium’, so the card would fit nicely in my television collection.
ARTIST: CLARE THOMPSON
UNTITLED
FULL POSTCARD REVERSE
SNAIL SHELLS
Signed by the artist on the reverse side
It was nice to find an artist stand with postcards and cards which depicted non-sci-fi or cartoon artwork. I do like all of these, but it is always the different at any event that catches the eye.
REVERSE SIDE OF ABOVE POSTCARD
This is another occasion where I thought I would buy a sticker and place this on the reverse side. I like the look of these and I do think they add something to the overall card. Here the artist has signed as his artist name and this is one of those occasions where I do not know the artists given name.
PINCHER PALADIN
PLAIN BACKED CARD
Signed by the artist on the reverse side
ARTIST: ALEX LLOYD
UNTITLED
MERMAID
FULL(ish) POSTCARD REVERSE
Signed by the artist on the reverse side
If you have been with me on my journey with this webpage you will know that I like Mermaid themed postcards, so you will understand why when I saw this card, I had to have it. The artist makes pictures up by cutting out pieces of paper and then laying them down on top of each other to make up an image. If you look closely at this picture you can see it’s made up of pieces of paper.
REVERSE SIDE OF ABOVE POSTCARD
Although this card did have some printed details and a picture up where the stamp box would be, I still fancied placing a sticker on this one, especially as I liked the one depicting a flute playing woman, so, I bought and stuck the sticker on this card. The artist has signed this card bottom right. I think the full combination has produced a superb collectible, possibly unique.
ARTIST: HELEN ASIA
MEOWNA WARRIOR PRINCESS
PLAIN BACKED CARD
Signed by the artist on the front (gold ink)
This design, by an artist who is very, very into cats, as you will see, is based on the character Xena Warrior Queen from the television series, so this card also fits into my television collection.
